Are you in-network?

Giving your network status to patients can be risky

The challenge of knowing when you are in-network vs. out-of-network has never been more difficult. Having your staff confidently confirm your in-network status with patients may be a big mistake. Patients may hold your staff to their word when a claim is processed out-of-network resulting in lost revenue or even losing the patient due to the ensuing dispute. Confusion usually results from the patient giving your staff the wrong information or the network having separate contracts for each plan. The best policy is to give the patient your network status and ask the patient to contact their plan for confirmation.
